Insight Global is looking for an electro-mechanical Process Development Engineer in St. Petersburg, FL. This person will be responsible for creating manufacturing processes for two small medical devices with electronics that are assembled into a sealed plastic case. Specifically heat-staking of plastics on an electronic, and creating process controls for an Adhesive Dispensing machine. This also includes, planning, material and equipment selection, creating the timeline, test strategy for manufacturing and some travel to Mexico as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years experience Process/Manufacturing Engineering (for electromechanical devices)
- PCB and PCBA manufacturing
- Regulated industry experience (Medical, Aero or Auto)
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Experience with material selection, equipment selection and User Requirements Specifications (URS writing).
- Ability to travel to Mexico or Ireland if needed.
- Ability to manage tooling for machine.
- Understanding for DFA (design for manufacturing)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with Heat-Staking of plastics
- Experience with Adhesive Dispensing and plastics experience
- UV Adhesives and curing experience.
- Conformal Coating experience
- Additional skills in Industrial Engineering with Time/Motion studies (MOST), line layouts, budgets and planning
Statistical Analysis, (DFSS) Design for Six Sigma
- AutoCAD, Fixture/tooling design
- Label applicators
- Technical writing
- ISO 13485
- Linear and pneumatic presses for Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (PSA tapes)
- Lean Six Sigma Certified.
