Job Profile

Harris County Hospital District DBA Harris Health System seeks Process Engineer II, Operational Excellence to work in Bellaire, Texas to analyze and re-engineer existing clinical and operational processes to ensure sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable process improvements. Deliver, implement and design processes, programs and polices using specialized knowledge and skills related to process improvement and analysis, quality assurance, and supporting new processes and procedures. Work to achieve operational, functional, and/or business targets with direct Impact on departmental results and improve on processes and systems that may require understanding of multiple job areas/departments or specialties. Apply process definition, improvement, and design methodologies to identify, analyze, and improve business processes which will Improve quality, reduce costs, increase efficiencies/productivity, and increase customer satisfaction. Develop documentation to support analysis and improvement Including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and gap/problem analysis. Plans and implements quality assurance and compliance processes. Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data. Determine how new information technologies can support re-engineering business processes. May support development of training and/or materials and activities to support new processes and procedures. Telecommuting/hybrid work permitted.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Systems Engineering, Business, Healthcare, or related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of work experience in process Improvement.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with continuous improvement methodologies and tools (LSS, PDCA, QA/QC tools, SPC, RCA, CAPA, statistical testing; MSA, time studies).

Must have solid presentation and computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Excel, and Project), statistical software (i.e., Minitab) and prefer experience with simulation software.
