A large manufacturing customer of ours is seeking a Sr. Process Engineer to join their team in Durham, NC.
- Solving complex problems while working with manufacturing departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
- Working with other personnel within facilities engineering such as manufacturing, maintenance, operations, account, administration, management, scientists etc. to develop design criteria, project scopes, scheduled, and funding requests to successfully define and deliver projects
- Conduct technical evaluations for support planning, design, operations and maintenance related to the ultra-pure water (UPW) systems, wastewater treatment systems, specialty gas and chemical supply and distribution systems, bulk gas systems (N2, O2, Argon, H2, HE), clean dry air (CDA), process vacuum, process cooling water (PCW), stormwater and environmental system improvements etc.
Prepare funding estimates, establish budgets, control costs and administer contracts

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors in Engineering, preferably within chemical engineering
- 3-10 years of experience in facilities engineering
- Diverse understanding the electrical, mechanical, architectural design and construction disciplines and proficient in either chemical or process engineering
- Experience with wastewater management systems, water utility projects, reverse osmosis systems (RO systems) or distilled water systems
- Experience with HazOps, PHA's, and root cause analysis tools
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Prior semiconductor experience or experience supporting a GMP regulated facility
- Experience supporting water projects for the city
- OSHA high purity
