Volt has an immediate need for a Process Engineer to work for our client in a contingent opportunity located onsite in Durham, NC.

The Process Engineer will support the QA/QC analysis laboratory for improvements in testing methods and specialized analytical testing apparatus. The primary role will be to evaluate current methods and equipment application, make improvement plans, execute objectives, and validate/implement comprehensive testing protocols/equipment applications.

Additionally, the Process Engineer will:

• Support testing through equipment maintenance.
• Lead equipment improvement projects.
• Support application development for best use of current analytical methods.
• Research/validate new analytical equipment/methods.
• Asset application and maintenance plan documentation.
• Learn testing methods.
• Learn general equipment applications.
• Define application bounds for analytical methods.
• Protocol and general best practices adherence analysis report.
• Drive ¼ Bench testing for evaluation during transitional period.
• Help create process/equipment improvement plans.

This is an estimated 6-12 months contingent opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Process, Controls, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years work experience, preferably in chemical processing or analysis.
• Experience managing projects for manufacturing line equipment, both new and existing.
• Experience working on equipment upgrades and new equipment.
• Experience developing equipment specifications.
• General knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and PLCs
• Experience analyzing capacity of new and existing equipment and processes.
• Resolution oriented individual with good communication skills.
• Demonstrates personal responsibility and dependability.

Pay Rate: $40.00 to $45.00/hour. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
