Our Gardener, Denver, Nash Division of Ingersoll Rand in Charleroi, PA is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team!

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Procurement Specialist controls, monitors and manages the raw materials inventory level to optimize service levels and minimize working capital. Plans timely purchase of raw materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supplier Trends: Analyzes and identifies supplier trends to determine corrective action plans which may result in looking for a new vendor, increasing/decreasing an order or re-work to salvage a part.
• Procurement: Reviews and evaluates drawings and blueprints to estimate quantity and type of materials, parts, or other required items. Analyzes specifications and determines the best source of procurement.
• Back Orders: Follows up on back orders and communicates expected delivery dates to the appropriate levels. Estimates need to reorder with other departments during manufacturing cycle. Coordinates with other planners to locate various parts.
• Inventory Levels: Reviews material quantities and dates required determining accurate start and completion dates and communicate these issues with management.
• Other responsibilities as assigned or required .

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience Required:

• Materials/purchasing experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to organize work, using analytical skills to understand supplier trends, inventory levels, etc.
• The ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization is necessary.
• SAP experience strongly preferred.
