The procurement specialist owns the daily performance management of their assigned portfolio of suppliers to ensure necessary flow of purchased material to meet agreed upon customer service levels. This role supports plants in both Erie, Pennsylvania and Dayton Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Manages all interactions and activities related to planning, inventory, delivery, kanban and lead time to facility delivery of quality material on time.

• Effective communication and management of suppliers to meet or exceed defined supplier delivery goals.

• Maintain all procurement related master data (info records, source lists, material master fields) to support correct
MRP planning and 100% first pass yield of purchase orders (PO's).

• Hold suppliers accountable for their promised deliveries and activities to support production planning.

• Leading monthly (at a minimum) meetings to discuss forecast, open purchase order report, quality, and any other areas that may impact on time supplier delivery.

• Utilize business tools such as SAP and PH Connect to perform job responsibilities.

• Perform activities to ensure delivery of quality product to the warehouse to support customer demands. This
includes, but is not limited to, product change notices (PCN's), discrepancy notices, supplier requests (SR's),

frozen planning and follow up of late material in inspection.

• Demonstrate sufficient level of initiative to meet or exceed performance against key performance indicators (KPI's) such as supplier delivery, inventory, MRP exceptions, and demonstrate initiative to continuously improve performance against these KPI's.

• Minimal travel is required but expected as needed.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and/or verbal procedures, processes, and instructions.

• Cooperation - willingness to accept assignments and assist others while maintaining of positive work attitude.

• Dependability - good attendance and punctuality are required. Follow work rules and procedures. Completes work assignments and daily tasks on time and correctly with very limited direct supervision.

• Initiative - puts forth individual effort to perform job expectations at an acceptable level or above.

• Decision making - ability to make effective decisions, considering risk and benefit, within job authority.

• 1-2 years' experience in operations, supply chain, purchasing, or other related function.

PREFERRED

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or other related field

• Supply Chain experience

• Prior SAP experience, preferably in the MM module

• MRP/ERP knowledge
