A higher education client of ours is looking for a Product Owner to join the applications services team for a 3 month contract (with possible extensions). This role will be fully remote, and will require working pacific standard time. This person is joining the Design Experience team that consists of 2 UX Researches and 3 UX Designers. This person will be the Product Owner over a large university wide Digital Accessibility initiative and audit. This digital accessibility is for the websites and applications (78). This person will work with designers and developers and help with digital accessibility remediation. They will make sense of these audits, work with designers and developers to translate the audit findings, solution the findings and then track the solutions. These audits have already begun so most of this work will be picking things up along the way. This person will be writing Jira tickets, take in some development and UX requirements (working alongside developers and designers for this), and prioritizing the backlog.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner

Knowledge of Digital Accessibility for websites/applications and remediation

Knowledge of Accessibility Standards such as WCAG standards, ADA, Section 508 & EN 301549

Experience with Audit tools such as Allyant, SiteImprove and DQ
