Product Support Business Partner - New York or Chicago
Your Team The North America Product Governance Team supports and guides our business partners in product governance with US regulatory requirements in conjunction with Legal NA and US State Affairs, including preparation of rates, rules, and policy forms for filing and negotiation of approvals by US State Affairs. Our mission is to promote consistency between LOBs related to rates, rules and forms and help navigate the North American regulatory requirements to help facilitate speed to market for any product changes.
The Impact You Will Have Reporting to the Head of North America Product Governance as a Product Support Business Partner you will develop/define strategy for filing of rates, rules and forms for the North American Large Corporate LoBs. You will also help oversee product governance functions including data calls, market conduct exam responses, new law and regulation changes and regulatory training to help facilitate compliance with U.S. and Canadian laws and regulations.

The annualized base pay range for this role is $97,787 - $193,617. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.

You will also help oversee product governance functions including data calls, market conduct exam responses, new law and regulation changes and regulatory training to help facilitate compliance with U.S. and Canadian laws and regulations.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Working closely with the Business and Actuaries to create/update/maintain rate, rule and forms for submission to State Departments of Insurance by Government & Regulatory Affairs (GRA).
- Addressing filing objections, etc., to achieve approval in all target states.
- Coordinating with Actuaries to develop actuarial pricing related to state regulatory requirements.
- Pulling and interpreting data from various applications such as Risk Browser or Global Genius.
- Writing policy forms/endorsements, reading/understanding State regulations and being able to translate them into policy wording for issuance as required, creating a final form to send to GRA for filing.
- Performing manuscript policy form reviews and/or interpreting/writing new wordings in conjunction with Underwriting, Claims and Legal.
- Coordinating with product development on new coverages, being proactive in the market.
- Performing timely competitor manuscript form reviews.
- Providing business level support for market conduct examinations, including assisting in responding to inquiries and overall organization and coordination.
- Handling data call requests, reporting and surcharge related activities, ensuring data quality and completeness.
- Reviewing legal and regulatory changes to determine impact to the business and implement accordingly.
- Reviewing Non-Disclosure Agreements and Confidentiality agreements and acting as a consultant on the same.
- Managing other projects/performing other duties, as needed.
What You'll Bring to the Role:
- State regulatory compliance experience, including product/endorsement development, product filing and interaction with State Regulators;
- Experience with pricing/rate/rule development;
- Experience working with Actuarial to ensure proper pricing of products and creation of rates and rules;
- Ability to develop and implement policies and endorsements;
- Experience reviewing Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality agreements, acting as consultant on the same;
- Ability to organize projects to ensure all roles are clear and all deadlines are met;
- Ability to analyze highly complex data and information, from multiple sources, in detail. Work with actuarial to ensure proper pricing of products and creation of rates and rules;
- Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally;
- Ability to work in partnership with multiple departments to ensure all products/rates are filed and approved;
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Legal, Finance and/or Actuarial background preferred.
