As a Production Control (PC) Supervisor, you will be playing a critical role in the success of production at the Gigafactory Nevada. You will work primarily on the manufacturing floor and will be asked to work cross-functionally, interfacing with engineering , planning, and production to ensure production goals are being met.


Responsibilities
  • Build a strong, motivated PC team capable of consistently managing raw material and finished goods inventory
  • Ensure efficient, timely raw material replenishment to ensure production teams can meet aggressive production targets
  • Empower the PC team to collaborate with production to improve consumption processes to ensure replenishment programs remain successful
  • Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & corrective action tracking surrounding accuracy, latency and PIT management
  • Ensure adherence to all PC processes as lined out in the Standardized Work Instructions and make sure that all team members get the needed training and support to be successful
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to ensure best practices across PC
  • Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations


Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience managing Materials teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment with evidence of positively impacting Material Flow processes
  • Experience in selecting, developing, and training new team members
  • Ability to work with and develop Material Flow performance metrics, including efficiency, quality, safety, accuracy, and cost
  • Capable of working well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
  • Develop strong working relationships with key PC stakeholders and communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
