This position reports to

Production Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements and company policies. • Fabricates raw steel/copper to produce a finished product to the internal/external customer expectations. • Reads blueprints or similar documentation, then fabricates components to those specifications. • Uses various machines (Automated and/or Manual) to accomplish assigned tasks. • Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies. • Performs equipment preventative maintenance and performs basic repairs when needed. • Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; reports need to supervisor as required. • Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor. • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the role

  • 5 years' experience operating automated punches, lasers, or robotic/NC press brakes in a fabrication department. Trumpf, Salvagnini, Amada, Cincinnati, and
  • Ehrt brands preferred.
  • Experience training others to operate fabrication equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required
  • Ability to use and interpret inspection tools - tape measure, calipers, and protractor
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering bill of materials, machining drawings and models.
  • Knowledge of 6S - sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, and safety
  • Knowledge and use of necessary PPE
  • Ability to use cranes, fork trucks, or other lifting devices, as needed
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40lbs
  • Ability to speak, read, and write the English Language and good communication skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out basic instructions
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills
  • Hand, eye coordination skills and use of both hands
