A multi-function position whose responsibilities will include maintaining the master plant schedule and managing the performance of internal departments and outside suppliers/vendors. Will be responsible for coordination with sales, manufacturing, engineering and/or quality to achieve sales goals and inventory targets. Manage customer purchase orders and shipment invoicing. Support Manufacturing through effective and efficient production scheduling controls. Work closely with Manufacturing management and Process Engineering to provide best value and quality to the organization. Work closely with Sales on customer priorities while still maintaining the needs of the manufacturing product flow, lead-times, and costs.

Specific Duties:

  • Manage updates to Mentor scheduling system, verify scheduling system gives accurate and expected information to other departments.
  • Track and manage performance by part of internal manufacturing departments
  • Maintain the Master Schedule and monitor customer requirements and shipment commitments.
  • Assist in development of new or improved manufacturing and production control systems.
  • Recover supplier delivery scheduling issues and help determine root cause analysis and correction.
  • Work with manufacturing and vendors to maintain the proper levels of inventory in production.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and communicate vendor needs, schedules, and issues to management.
  • Provide production requirements to internal operations/outside vendors. Proactively communicate vendor commitments daily to Manufacturing.
  • Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.

Work Experience:

Three to Five years of production scheduling in a manufacturing environment. Must have demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Excel. Scheduling systems, inventory management and capacity planning practices, Theory of Constraintsand Lean manufacturing principles. Individual is able to apply creative solutions to Technical, Quality, and Supplier Scheduling issues. A track record of demonstrated strong communication skills, including customer relations. Has a workable knowledge of inventory control and management. Has proven ability to interface between Manufacturing, Engineering, and Production Control departments. Must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office and an integrated scheduling system

Education:

Preferred bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field, with 2 years' experience in scheduling production in a manufacturing environment.
