Summary:

The person in this position is primarily responsible for overseeing operation of production lines by consistently enforcing work practices and procedures and ensuring productivity measures, quality standards and safe work practices are met. This role supports a 24 hour, 7 days-a-week operation with primary responsibility for 7 nights on and 7 nights off scheduling.

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise the production lines, production storage, and shipping area of the plant.
  • Record and count production on a daily basis, utilize DSI as the record software.
  • Train new personnel on proper bagging techniques and forklift driving.
  • Train personnel on safety policies, enforce all safety requirements and conduct regular safety observations.
  • Track employee scheduling and vacations
  • Uphold production and quality standards established.
  • Seek new ways to improve the screening and bagging operations.
  • Enforce housekeeping standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement teams.
  • Improve equipment liability in assigned areas.
  • Support warehouse automation.
  • Troubleshoot production and minor mechanical issues.
  • Assist planner with production schedule based on raw material availability.
  • Understand and adhere to applicable FSMA Regulations.
  • Flexible schedule to support multiple shift production when needed.
  • Support new products or formulations and equipment implementation.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as required.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:
  • The candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred - in a technical field is a plus.
  • Three years of supervisory or leadership experience and a proven track record for continuously improving operations.
