Production Supervisor
Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process within a production facility. They ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely, while meeting quality standards and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers, ensuring that they follow safety procedures and production schedules
  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to meet production targets
  • Ensure that quality standards are met and that products meet customer specifications
  • Identify and troubleshoot production problems, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Train and develop production workers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports, and provide regular updates to management on production performance
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and maintenance, to ensure that production equipment is maintained and repaired as needed
  • The ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
  • Someone who is willing to continually learn and embrace the best practices to help keep the organization competitive for the long term.
Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of production processes and equipment
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
  • Effectively communicating with employees of all levels and status
