Production Supervisor

Insight Global is seeking a Production Supervisor in Winchester, VA. This is a day shift role, 4 on 4 off schedule. This position works closely with the Production Manager to ensure the effective and efficient running of the manufacturing plant. The overarching objective is to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications while ensuring the health and safety of the workforce. The Supervisor will oversee their team, performance and goals. This key leader will oversee production in a manner that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. Working with the plant leadership to strengthen the culture of the employee base and the productivity of the manufacturing operations are key performance attributes that will be required for this position.

You would have 10 direct reports and work on a 4 on 4 off schedule. This is a 24/7 environment, with 7am - 7pm shifts with 12 hour days.

You will:
- Run 5s improvement projects, highlighting the areas that need improvement and action from your team to implement the 5s program.
- Lead daily control room meeting; discuss issues across the plant.
- Check staffing at the beginning of each shift and monitor absences. Document attendance and file with Human Resources.
- Coach employees to ensure consistency with policy and procedures.
- Communicate employee concerns with Production Manager and Human Resources.
- Responsible for Dayforce: Time and Attendance
- Attend daily shift handover meeting with peer Supervisor and Area Lead.
- Responsible for Safety Toolbox Talks.
- Review Key Performance Indicators (OEE, Yield, Material Variance and Utilization) daily and weekly IPAP report. Action plan to reduce the top three (3) losses of waste/time on your shift.

Required Skills & Experience
- Must have at least 3 years of plant experience, to include supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership skills and problem-solving ability.
- Must have experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP
- Will be required to supervise a work force of a small group, be able to manage day-to-day operations including employee scheduling and work output commitment
- Lean manufacturing and Continuous improvement
Experience with business computer applications (Microsoft Office)
- Effective communication skills, effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
