JOB PURPOSE:
This position will manage the portfolio of digital transformation, technology innovation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Intelligent Automation (AI) initiatives, overseeing the governance process and ensuring projects align with Piedmonts digital transformation strategy. This includes managing the inventory of active projects, how we measure their performance, and providing updates on the ongoing value delivered from these investments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage the portfolio of digital transformation, AI, and IA initiative performance by maintaining an active inventory, tracking relevant metrics, and providing visualization and/or presentations that demonstrate the impact and value Piedmont achieves from these implementations.
2. Oversee the intake process for AI and IA initiatives coming from the business, ensuring business justification aligns with Piedmonts strategy and policies.
3. Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including executives, IT leaders and staff, operators, clinicians and other team members to ensure program goals are aligned with organizational objectives.
4. Work closely with Director, project coordinator, and strategy manager to track progress and resolve issues.
5. Report on program progress, performance, and risks to key stakeholders, adjusting as needed to keep programs on track.
6. Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, providing and receiving regular updates on project status and working together to confirm solution performance meets expectations.
7. Identify and mitigate any risks associated with the portfolio of digital transformation projects.
8. Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in healthcare IT to inform program planning and decision-making.
9. Other duties and program responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Excellent project management, analytic, and process improvement skillsets.
Strong understanding of technology processes and capabilities.
Knowledge of healthcare IT systems, regulations, and industry standards.
Excellent written/verbal communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Effectively lead large group efforts involving people from multiple teams.
Excellent computer literacy and skill in Microsoft Office application suite, analytic and data visualization tools such as excel and Tableau, project management tools, and any process (continuous) improvement tools.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree in business, healthcare administration, computer science, information systems, technology, nursing/clinical healthcare or a closely related field is required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in program or project management, process improvement, health IT system management, or a closely related field is required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Degree is preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus.
