Program Coordinator will support Radiology quality and safety initiatives including Quality & Safety - Safety Net and Screening Programs. The coordinator will follow patients in the tracking database to review appropriate follow up and assists with other activities as assigned to help the Safety Net programs.

Builds professional relationships, and collaborative rapport with co-workers, health care professionals, patient safety leaders, and with clinical departments across the Mass General Brigham Enterprise

• Coordinate and track key actionable findings, deliverables necessary to prevent missed and delayed diagnoses of abnormal test result follow up

• Coordinates varied communication with patients and provider

• Integrates data regularly from multiple sources into documentation, regular reporting, and presentation

• Performs coordination and verifies accurate order-entry for diagnostic tests, monitors appointments visits, and prior report review

• Performs patient service and administrative duties, and office work which includes chart review, accurate submission of patient information

• Submits data according to program, accrediting body, and registry requirement

• Performs system audits, enhancements, and coordination of education, as needed

• Provide cross coverage to other departments and/or positions, and assist with training staff, as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3 years' experience in health industry, or related field highly preferred.
  • Preferred prior healthcare experience, i.e., radiology, or ambulatory setting with prior use of medical terminology
  • Previous experience in project coordination and facilitating meetings is helpful

  • Proficiency in PC/Microsoft applications including Microsoft Office 365, such as Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Visio
  • Ability to function proactively and independently or minimal supervision with a high degree of accuracy and precision
  • Ability to participate in a multifaceted program, meet deadlines and manage schedules
  • Curiosity along with a willingness and ability to learn
  • Proven problem-solving skills, collaboration, and project skills
  • Requires sound clinical judgment, effective problem-solving skills, critical thinking, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and remain flexible
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and quantitative skills needed to perform the functions
  • Responds constructively to feedback from any customer group (patients, visitors, co-workers, physicians, and departments)
  • Successful candidate will be both highly professional and approachable
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA requirements regarding department-specific information
  • Knowing when to ask questions of peers or supervisor, versus when to tackle a problem independently while holding oneself accountable to producing the highest quality work
