Job Summary
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Program Development Specialist - Migrant Head Start Programs is responsible for facilitating Child Development Programs (Family Child Care Homes (FCC) and Center Based); school readiness and interpersonal skills through county-approved curriculum based on child assessment and outcomes data; monitoring, technical assistance, and ensures alignment between state and federal early childhood education frameworks; and monitoring of multiple center based or family child care provider sites. This is designated as a certificated management position and is part of the Management Leadership Team. This is a categorically funded position.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years of successful teaching experience in a child development program required. At least two years of administrative or supervisory experience which would demonstrate exposure and utilization of required skills, knowledge, and abilities in performing job-related duties and responsibilities required. Kind/type of experience as related to described duties and responsibilities will be considered. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in childhood development or closely related field required. Master's degree desirable. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: -Possession of a valid California Program Director's Permit authorizing supervision of child development programs -Valid California Driver's License -Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) Reliability certification within 6 months of hire.
