The Enterprise Acquisition Products & Platforms (EAPP) organization powers the acquisition experience with in Amex. This program manager role will work on the program management of GNA Sundown as main focus among other projects. GNA is a legacy platform which has been powering acquisition orchestration process for more than 27 years and set to decommission in the near future. GNA Sundown program is setup for identifying scope, driving conversations for point of arrival ownerships, platform identification, work prioritization and finally decommissioning the platform

Key responsibilities include:

  • Outstanding organizational skills with ability to manage and prioritize multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Partners with Product Management team(s) to develop viable roadmaps for Sundown Program
  • Coordinates execution of project from initiation through release, using SDLC methodologies and Agile/Scrum concepts.
  • Works within and across business units to prioritize, plan, and complete the development schedule for major journeys applicable
  • Handles and appropriately raises delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to the initiatives
  • Maintain and organize centralized document repository for key program materials and resources
  • Provides executive level updates at the program level to key leaders to showcase the health of the overall program and demonstrates a willingness to lead teams to sustainable solutions that scale appropriately within the enterprise
  • Adopts SDLC methods, Agile values, principles


Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of technical project management experience
  • Deep understanding of all aspects of software design with a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility
  • Experience managing Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development teams to deliver technology solutions on that meet customer expectations for timeliness and quality
  • Experience in developing high-quality presentations and communication materials for an executive audience
  • Experience with agile delivery methodologies
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience, is preferred


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills; Ability to effectively communicate across third parties and technical and business product managers
  • Experience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing teams
  • Demonstrated track record of independently driving end-to-end results across priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and executing flawlessly
  • High intellectual curiosity, ability to solve complex problems, strategic thinking mindset, and innovative thought leadership


Qualifications

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
