Join the University of Virginia's Department of Human Resources as a Program Manager within the Human Resources Continuous Improvement and Project Management Office. Responsibilities:

1. Program Leadership and Coordination:
  • Oversee multiple concurrent workstreams within a program framework.
  • Collaborate across functions within and outside UVA HR to ensure seamless execution.
  • Develop and implement program management methodologies tailored to each workstream.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
2. Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Align HR programs with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end lifecycle management of HR programs.
  • Identify program requirements and design effective solutions.
  • Monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
3. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Provide guidance on program policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead change management efforts related to HR programs.
4. Metrics & Reporting:
  • Institute methods to assess program performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Produ ce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
  • Define success metrics, establish measurement criteria, ensure measurement, and report internally and externally.
5. Compliance and Relationship Building :
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external partners.
6. Industry Trends and Best Practices:
  • Stay informed about HR industry trends and recommend improvements.
  • Suggest and implement best practices in HR management.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Eight or more years of program or project management experience, experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Required Skills and Expertise:

Project Management:
  • Excellent planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Change management experience.
  • Ability to manage competing demands.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and relevant software applications.
Interpersonal Skills:
  • Strong mentoring and team-building abilities.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
Leadership and Adaptability:
  • Motivate and engage stakeholders in HR program initiatives.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree.

Proven Track Record:
  • Successfully developing and implementing HR programs.
  • Certification in HR program management (e.g., Project Management Professional, HR Certification Institute).
Knowledge of HR program evaluation methodologies and metrics.

Familiarity with continuous improvement principles and methodologies.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive HR information.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The anticipated hiring range for this role is $107,000 - $127,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is an exempt-level, benefited position. The successful candidate will pass a background check. This position will not sponsor applicants for work visas. This is a full-time position with UVa benefits. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
