Job Description

The Department of Family and Community Medicine is pleased to announce an opening for a Program/ Project Support Coordinator II. The position will serve as the Program Coordinator for each of four Family & Community Medicine Fellowships.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, organizing, and coordination of fellowship training and activities.

• Manage and organize fellowship information for national accreditation. Maintain program standards for accreditation following policy and procedures outlined by the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Serve as a resource for Program Directors seeking clarification in governing body policies.

• Oversee fellow recruitment, onboarding, orientation, progression and graduation.

• Represent fellowship programs in communications with both internal and external fellowship partners.

• Prepare and process Program Letters of Agreement with community partners.

• Assist fiscal office and Medical Education Manager in development and monitoring of fellowship budgets.

• Provide administrative support to the Program Directors and Fellows.

• Responsible for scheduling and administrative oversight of learners from internal and external institutions rotating with the fellowships.

• Oversee tracking of learners' duty hours, attendance, compliance, mandatory education, evaluations and progression towards graduation

• Organize Clinical Competency and Program Evaluation Committee Meetings

• Prepare semi-annual and final summative evaluations for fellows.

• Oversee licensure and certification of fellows to meet requirements of regulatory agencies.

• Provide welcoming environment and promote departmental programs as an outstanding choice to all learners and potential faculty

• Enter and maintain fellowship schedules in New Innovations, QGenda and hospital call schedule.

• Serve as contact for coordinating and maintaining courses according to the Campus academic year for the Online Master of Science Academic Medicine Program for physicians. Monitor student progress and submit forms for student learning plans and graduation applications.

• Manage and oversee special projects as directed by the Program Directors and Medical Education Manager.

Successful candidates will be highly organized, congenial problem-solvers with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.Prior experience in medical education is preferred. Certification in Training Administration in Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) is preferred.

Shift

Monday -- Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $21.28 - $27.00

Grade: GGS-09
