Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Project Control Analyst with a Secret Clearance to support KDS and our government customer in Chantilly, VA. This is a hybrid position requires 2-3 days onsite.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Support development of contract deliverables on multiple cost plus and time & materials contracts
  • Collaborate with Project Management Teams (including Program Directors, Program Managers, and Project Leaders) in the consolidation, review, and updates of project and program budgets, forecasts, and associated reporting and analysis
  • Collaborate with accounting department in project set up structure and processes
  • Monitor and review project and program expenditures for accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborate with accounting department in resolving any discrepancies or miscoding of expenditures
  • Review, monitor, and report project financial performance (revenue, cost, margins) and identify and present potential deviations against budget or forecasts to management
  • Proactively partner with program management team to understand and track program risks and challenges and ensure risk mitigation activities are in place as necessary to avoid performance issues
  • Support subcontractor/vendor cost management lifecycle, including setting up Purchase Orders tracking subcontractor/vendor invoicing, and developing back up for subcontractor accruals. As needed, review subcontractor invoices for accuracy, timeliness and completion
  • Collaborate with Program Management teams in development and compilation of reports and status information
  • Develop monthly project reports
  • Support Line of Business and Operating Group leadership in compiling and reviewing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements
  • Support development or enhancement of project control processes, procedures, and systems

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Business Operations for a government contractor
  • Understanding of accounting and profit and loss financial statements
  • Understanding of the project management lifecycle
  • Strongly self-motivated to learn and support in a growing organization
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments/levels of an organization
  • Strong organization skills and focus on accuracy and consistency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail, and an ability to review, compare, and analyze financial reports in Excel
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills required

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
