Mark Chaffin Center for Healthy Development

The Mark Chaffin Center for Healthy Development in the School of Public Health is seeking a Sponsor Funded Project Coordinator for 32 hours per week. This position will assist the Project Director by carrying out coordination activities on multiple grants including those funded by the NIH, HRSA and CDC.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Work with the director, principal investigator and project team on maternal and child health funded projects
  • Collaborate with staff, students and partners to ensure project activities are conducted according to plan including scheduling and coordination of internal and external meetings, professional and community trainings, coordination of evaluation activities with the program evaluation team, coordination and management of student learning, research, and writing activities; coordination of stakeholder relations and oversight; assist director in preparation of funder and stakeholder reports.
  • Assist the director in updating relevant project databases and documentation including internal and external meeting agendas and notes and follow-up actions, databases of project activities and performance indicators, tracking of required evaluation activities.
  • Maintain project webpage, assist the director in updating content to communicate project advancements and new resources, engage professionals, and educate the public.
  • Assist the director in communications pertaining to new project activities, resources developed and training offered; track, webpage analytics, and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or high school diploma or GED and six years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a research assistant working with students, staff, PI, other faculty, pregnant women, mothers
