Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our Water Systems Engineering Department. We are looking for an experienced professional in water and sewer pipeline and pumping station design. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record preparing and reviewing water and sewer design plans, specifications, and cost estimates, as well as obtaining environmental permits and provide assistance during construction. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and managing water and sewer pipeline and pumping station design projects. You will be responsible for:
Design and rehabilitation of water and sewer pipelines and pumping stations and related projects.
Preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.
Applying for and obtaining environmental permits.
Provide construction administration services.
Identifying and resolving design-related challenges, drafting, and reviewing project-related correspondence, and coordinating with external agencies, including the Maryland State Highway Administration, Maryland Department of the Environment, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and city/county agencies.
Participating in public meetings and hearings.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (civil or environmental preferred)
3+ years of experience in water/sewer pipeline and pumping station design review
Knowledge of local codes and water and sewer design requirements
Strong project management, written, and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Hydraulic modelling experience
FE/EIT/PE license
Background in performing design reviews on public agency projects in MD
