Chipton-Ross is seeking a Project Management Analyst 2 for a contract opportunity in Newport News, VA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Position provides high level cost estimating, project planning, risk analysis and mitigation, engineering design review and approval, and field engineering support for the design and construction of heavy industrial buildings and waterfront/ship construction facilities. Responsible for all aspects of project management including technical proposal development, proposal review, construction planning, development of project financials, metrics and budget tracking, engineering drawing/submittal review and approval, review of contractor safety and quality plans, start up and commissioning. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience. Master's Degree and 1 year of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.
Finance background, ability to multitask, and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Microsoft Office Suite or Similar experience is required.
Required PPE: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Boots
PREFERRED:
Project Management Experience and Relative Software preferred but not required
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree is required.
School must be accredited.
HOURS:
This position is first shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
