Are you looking for a fast-paced and challenging position that will provide you with extremely valuable experience in Information Technology (IT) project management, extensive variety, and frequent exposure to managers and staff in the IT Branch? The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to work in the Project Delivery Group within the Enterprise Strategies and Project Management Office. The IT Specialist II will perform complex analytical activities to provide Project Management support and consulting services to the EDD.

Under the general direction of the Information Technology (IT) Manager I, the IT Specialist II supports EDD's evolving enterprise-wide Project Management practices and procedures including leadership of implementing the use of both hybrid Agile and traditional Project Management frameworks. Collaborates with all business and IT staff engaged in IT project management activities and provides governance oversight throughout every IT project's Project Management Life Cycle.

This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
