PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Project Manager is part of a team of internal performance Excellence (PE) and project management (PM) experts working across the enterprise to deliver project management coaching and leadership. The Project Manager is to plan, lead, execute, and coordinate medium scale projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Leads cross-functional project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle including requirements and scope definition, project plan development, design, build, testing, training, and go-live.
  • Develops and manages full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Tracks project milestones, critical path, issues, risk mitigation, interdependencies, and deliverables.
  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Monitors and reviews quality metrics developed and executed by others as needed.
  • Independently manages medium scale projects including issue resolution and dispute resolution. Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path.
  • Works closely with the Business Operations and Finance teams, and adheres to planned budgets and provides appropriate documentation for variances and exceptions.
  • Manages reporting and resolution of issues, risks and dependencies, proactively identifying potential planning gaps, suggesting mitigations to risks, actions to close issue or complete open task.
  • Effectively sets, manages and communicates project expectations with team members, vendors and stakeholders including roles and responsibilities and due dates, in a timely and clear manner.
  • Provides support to Senior Project Manager and other colleagues to partner with operations at all levels to develop, implement, and sustain operational/strategic goals & outcomes on projects with increased complexity.
  • Assists in the development of project management tools and educational programs and ensures that standard toolkits and methodologies are used across the enterprise, suggests changes and improvements to processes proactively.
  • Collaborate with Senior Project Manager and other colleagues in teaching, mentoring, and coaching teams in using the appropriate project management tools & methodologies to effectively manage complex projects.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors' Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Healthcare; or related field required (Master's degree preferred)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3-5 years of related work experience in Project Management.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Project management skills and experience.
  • Previous Healthcare Experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience successfully training and implementing the following PM tools and skills is preferred:
  • MS Office Suite applications (Excel, Visio, Teams, Sharepoint)
  • Project Management Scheduling tools (MS Project, Smartsheet)
  • Strategic and problem solving
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
    • Excellent Influencing skills with ability to interact effectively across the organization.
