SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for leading complex projects and operational initiatives that are of strategic importance to Atrius Health. In this role, the Project Manager will hold project management responsibility for the development and execution of organizational initiatives as assigned by the Director. The Project Manager will lead a team who will partner with clinical, operational, and financial colleagues across the organization to execute on assigned initiatives. The role will also manage, and/or participate in the design, development, and execution of necessary governance/oversight mechanisms required to ensure effective delivery of assigned project deliverables. By designing and leading projects, the Project Manager will participate in shaping the future of healthcare delivery for Atrius Health's patient population.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree (or equivalent) in business or health administration strongly preferred .

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 - 7 years of progressively responsible experience including planning, development, and financial analysis, business and operations management. Experience in all phases of project management required, introducing large-scale change in a corporate environment preferred. Background in a healthcare or human services organization, and supervisory experience preferred. .

SKILLS
  • Project Management Skills : Demonstrated success in managing moderately complex initiatives and projects. Strong knowledge of the principles and best practices of project management, including, but not limited to: project life cycle, scope definition and management, planning and scheduling, monitoring, communication cycles, project team and risk management. Ability to delegate and effectively supervise and plan for the timely and successful completion of short and long-term objectives. Strong skills in budget development and management, with demonstrated ability to bring large, complex projects in on time and on budget. Ability to consistently meet established deadlines for deliverable or activities.
  • Business Planning Skills : Demonstrated business planning expertise in business plan development, pro forma development, budget development, analysis, and management, etc.
  • Problem Solving Skills : Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with ability to analyze and resolve moderately complex problems of broad scope, develop effective action plans, and implement to successful conclusion. Track record of thinking conceptually and mastering subject matter quickly.
  • Organizational Skills : Excellent organizational skills necessary to manage many competing timetables and responsibilities. Demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems.
  • Interpersonal Skills : Excellent interpersonal skills with reputation as a relationship builder and communicator. Track record of demonstrating strong leadership, facilitating, coaching, and networking skills needed to motivate others and work with providers, managers, and staff in a positive and collegial fashion. Experience managing through influence and collaboration. Ability to create and foster a collaborative work environment, and organize people and resources to solve problems and identify opportunities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with a large and diverse constituency, including Atrius Health leaders, Service Line providers and staff, representatives of other Atrius Health departments, and vendors. Ability to accurately and concisely disseminate information in both written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to work independently.
