The Project Manager overall role is to coordinate the different funded research projects, agendas, and plans of the Principal Investigator by identifying needs and managing resources necessary for successful implementation of behavioral research, developing and maintaining systems for ongoing function, coordinating meetings, and tracking progress towards project goals. The Project Manager is responsible for maintaining the integrity of research data and overseeing adherence to required reporting to the Institutional Review Board and Research Review Committee, including creation and submission of protocol modifications and continuing reviews. Supervises staff and engages in recruitment and follow up of participants in research studies. The Project Manager will work closely with the PI and other staff for oversight, execution, and follow up associated with ongoing studies through daily oral and written communication.

Bilingual in Asian language (e.g., Mandarin, Vietnamese, Korean, etc.) is preferred.

What You'll Do:

Research Coordination - Assist Principal Investigator and manage other staff in cancer research including but not limited to: coordinating and conducting recruitment under the direction of investigators (including phone, mail, and in-person contact), study registration, communicating study objectives and procedures to prospective and enrolled study participants, scheduling of study participants, administering informed consent when designated by investigators, and collecting/administering measures at study assessments. Organize and prepare study materials and assist with preparation of presentations and materials.

Protocol Coordination - Follow study protocol procedures, providing input as appropriate for changes, updates and revisions to survey instruments and data collection procedures. Identify and report needed protocol and procedural changes, coordinating the ongoing implementation of the research protocol, and defining recruitment and retention strategies. Engages in the formatting of research protocols, implementation of questionnaires, screening assessments, and data collection tools.

Data Coordination - Track and maintain records of recruitment and participation. Register participant in institutional database. Maintain confidential study files and records in an organized and secure manner, including participant contact information, consent forms, data code sheets, and other relevant materials. Extensive use of Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word and research programs such as Epic and Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap).

Data Analysis - Assist with data analysis, such as data cleaning and interview transcription.

Literature search/review - Search and review literature in pertinent areas preparing written reports as necessary. Photocopy, organize, and maintain journal articles accurate records.

Education
Bachelors Degree (Required)
Masters Degree: in related field (Preferred)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience
2 Years experience in project management (Required)
5 Years experience in a Research environment (Required)
General experience in Epic, OnCore, eIRB, SPSS, Excel, and/or Redcap ( Preferred)
