Responsibilities: 

?      Review internship courseapplications including participant eligibility and maintain records ofparticipants enrolled in the courses.

?      Grade submitted assignmentsfor each course and coordinate with other VCC staff to help support the gradingprocess.   

?      Provide appropriate? guidanceto international students regarding the internship courses for credit and referstudents to VCC staff and other USC offices as needed.   

?      Provide frequent statusreports to the Sr. Director of Career Connections

?      Assists in the planning andexecution of VCC events as needed.

?      Assists in the preparationand distribution of communication materials to students and employers.  

?      Provides exceptional customerservice to students, employers, alumni, and staff. 

?      Performs other related dutiesas assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or changeresponsibilities at any time.

Preferred Education andQualifications: 

?     Bachelor’s degree

?     Ability to workoccasional evenings or weekends.

?     Proven skill indeveloping and maintaining accurate, organized records, files, and filingsystems.

?     Ability to be flexibleand adaptable in the face of changing priorities and fluctuatingworkloads.  

?     Strong organizationaland time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines; able toeffectively prioritize, delegate, and execute multiple tasks..

?     Experience in workingwith MS Office and database programs.

?     Excellent writtencommunication skills, with the ability to independently compose letters,emails, and memos; ability to proofread and edit VCC communication.

?     Excellent verbalcommunication, including over the phone and public speaking.

?     Multiculturalcompetencies and the ability to work with diverse populations.

?     Excellent interpersonalskills, demonstrating sensitivity, tact, patience, and diplomacy at all levels.

?     Demonstrated ability towork effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

?     Demonstrated ability toexercise sound judgment with understanding and sensitivity to identify those decisions and activities which requirehigher-level consultation or group collaboration.
