A geriatric-psych inpatient unit with twenty-four-hour multidisciplinary behavioral health and medical services for adults with acute psychiatric needs who may have concomitant medical issues which are non-emergent.

What you will do:

• Develop a working knowing of therapeutic interventions and interactions for common diagnosis of population served.
• Maintain the unit schedule and facilitate timely transitions.
• Assist patients with Daily Living Skills (ADLs) as directed by an RN

Responsibilities

• Follow patient's treatment and behavior plan.
• Conduct environmental rounds as assigned and remove any sharps or prohibited items.
• Facilitate milieu based community groups and leisure/recreation groups
• Accompany patients on transports as assigned

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) - "What you will need":

• Education: High School diploma and equivalent experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Services preferred.
