As the Public Affairs Manager you will be handling a strategic communications program at the mill, including implementing communication best practices across the other mills and the corporate headquarters in Atlanta. You will be in charge of establishing strong relationships with community members to coordinate external issues engagements and activities with internal legal teams, government affairs, and the corporate communication teams. You will have the opportunity to make a difference in the internal communications are, public affairs/community relations area, and in media relations.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree (journalism, communications, or public relations concentration preferred)
Experience implementing successful internal communication programs with measurable results
Experience with communications strategy and programs, including adapting and implementing best practices of other communication programs
Excellent writing, editing and general communication skills in an editing communications role
Experience with news media and community relations
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Exposure to a manufacturing environment.
Experience with regulatory and permitting issues.
Involvement with community groups such as chamber of commerce or other local business groups
Knowledge and experience working with elected officials and appointed government officials.
Experience working with SharePoint and other web-based communication tools.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
