The Health Mission Solutions division at Leidos currently has an opening for a Public Health Analyst to work with the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will support the Audits Branch in the Division of Quality Control and be responsible for evaluating and analyzing complex public health programs and policies. You will advise management on public health policies, operations, products, and services, and contribute to the improvement of public health programs. This is an exciting opportunity to provide administrative support and assist in operating and maintaining the SNS national stockpiled inventory. In this mission, we assist in ensuring the SNS inventory is ready for deployment, providing the ability to respond 24 x 7 in an emergency. The successful candidate will provide analytical support to facilitate and maintain a high level of readiness.

Primary Tasks
  • Participate in meetings with senior officials from the Government Accountability Office, Office of Inspector General, external auditors, and congressional briefings. Prepare materials and replies. Ensure information is provided consistently and accurately describes the SNS's position on strategic program matters and operations. Provide advice to management on related matters.
  • Research, collect, compile, and review qualitative and quantitative information and data for use in program decisions and development of replies, strategies, and products.
  • Develop, track, summarize, and disseminate critical information and progress reports.
  • Evaluate existing or proposed procedures, policies, systems, strategies, services, or other health-related matters; identify needs for improvement and the methods and resources to accomplish such improvements.
  • Independently or as part of a team prepare and present comprehensive program reviews to include recommendations on curtailing or expanding programs and program effectiveness. Coordinate high level collaborative projects with other internal and/or external organizations to meet program's goals.
  • Develop and apply new or revised program methods, organizational structures, and technologies to carry out program objectives.
  • Research and prepare replies to ad-hoc or recurring inquiries received in writing or telephonically.
  • Work with individuals within own organization and across other organizations to plan, schedule, and ensure execution of program activities.
  • Support emergency management/incident response functions as needed to accomplish the SNS mission.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and up to 3 years background in a related field.
  • Ability to work both self-directed and as a team member.
  • Strong relationship-building and diplomacy skills.
  • Ability to work handle requests from multiple groups/organizations.
  • Proficient in common software, particularly with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must possess character traits of being accurate, meticulous, proactive, efficient, self-starter, and a team player.
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Public Trust suitability.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous background supporting a government agency.

Pay Range: Pay Range $53,950.00 - $97,525.00
