Quality Assurance Engineer

You are a detail-oriented individual who accurately interprets and communicates customer specifications and industry regulations for custom manufactured equipment as well as supporting turbo-expander production in an ISO-9001 manufacturing environment. You are looking to start or further your career with a company that is a world market leader in expander technology used in sustainable turbomachinery solutions like geothermal power, waste heat to power, energy storage, solar power and hydrogen processes. The compensation for range for this position is based on skill. Depending on skill the pay is $3,555.20 ($92,435.20 Annually) to $5,346.40 every two weeks ($139,006.40 Annually). The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual bonus. What you will own & improve
  1. Create Quality Plans.
  2. Oversee Quality Assurance responsibilities of projects including:
    1. Generating blank certificates
    2. Review of purchase orders and production orders for compliance to job and SHEEQ requirements
    3. Review of Quality Assurance (QA) related certification/documentation received per purchase order requirements for compliance and QA acceptance (e.g., electrical/instrumentation certifications, CMTR's, NDE documents)
    4. Compile Turboexpander certification books
    5. Generate and maintain material traceability documents (e.g., material heat numbers, weld identification, NDE reader sheets, weld rod/consumable traceability, NDE technician qualification records)
    6. Review & processing requests for material transfers including certifications.
  3. Provide support for the ISO-9001, ISO-14001, ISO-45001, and ISO-50001 programs.
  4. Monitor the manufacture and fabrication of turboexpanders and aftermarket orders for job and ISO-9001 compliance.
  5. Assist with maintaining quality department programs (CARs and PARs, NCRs, Quality Notes, Calibrations, ect.)
  6. Assist QA Staff with tasks when assigned

What you already know
  1. You have a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  2. You have a mechanical aptitude that will help you gain the general technical knowledge regarding turbo expanders and turbo expander manufacturing.
  3. You have technical writing skills that will help you create and document quality requirements.
  4. You may have knowledge of turboexpander related, industrial specifications such as (API, ASTM, ASME) that will help you understand turbo expander manufacturing and inspection.

How Success is measured
  1. Timely completion of inspection and test plans and quality assurance documentation.
  2. Contributions to the Quality Assurance team productivity and efficiency
  3. Increased knowledge of turbo-expanders and turbo-expander fabrication.

  1. SAP, Enovia, Wiki, SharePoint
  2. Codes, standards and specifications applicable to turbo-expanders.

This role reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor. You will be a member of a team of 6 people.
