Key Areas of Accountability / Responsibility:
Manage the receipt of samples as they are logged into Quality Control.
Analyze raw material, in-process, and finished product samples according to established SOP's
Conduct daily sensory evaluation sessions per established SOP's
Participate in daily sensory evaluation panels per established SOP's.
Provide Sensory Support in both preparation and evaluation of ingredients and finished products.
Prioritize / separate samples and organize their testing per established SOP's.
Prepare micro samples for shipment per established SOPs for 3rd party testing. Files all retains at conclusion of sample testing cycle

Required:
Bachelor's degree required preferably within the following disciplines (Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Food Science, Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry).
Technically proficient in the following standard chemical procedures and physical measurements (wet chemistry): FTIR, pH, water content, etc.
Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and standard MS office software. LIMS and/or SAP experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to be on your feet for 50-70% of the day; Able to lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs; Requires wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Education: Bachelors Degree
