What You'll Be Doing:
Use analytical, engineering and quality control methodologies to test and inspect products and processes, as well as develop and implement quality improvement strategies and systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned.
- Create and maintain critical process controls for New Product Development Project, to include all aspects of PPAP using AIAG core tools.
- Create and Maintain APQP master schedule, including project milestones.
- Interface with customers on all aspects of Quality and APQP.
- Lead and implement effective us and maintenance of core tools (PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, PPAP, SOPs etc.)
- Ensure control plans and associated documents are implemented effectively and maintained through the lifecycle of the project.
- Develop and maintain measurement methods to confirm parts meet customer requirements. MSA, GR&R, SPC etc. tying back to FMEA and Control Plan.
- Measure parts using CMM/ Laser Technologies with the support of quality team.
- Analyze process capability data, identify gaps and work with team to close gaps.
- Serve as the focal point for all quality issues in assigned departments, ensuring timely and effective remedies.
- Conduct RCCA investigations using common tools (8D Ishikawa, 5Whys etc.) and support the completion of corrective and preventive actions.
- You will have direct communication with customers and conduct customer site visits, as necessary.

- Expert on APQP using AIAG core tools.
- Extensive experience working as a quality engineer experience within the Automotive sector, strong focus in APQP.
- Strong understanding of MS Office Suite: MS Word, MS Excel; Project
- Working statistical knowledge for trend analysis using Mini-Tab or other statistical software.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, including GD&T
- Able to manage multiple task and work well under pressure with changing deadlines and time constraints, while still providing high quality results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to corrective actions.
- Ability to work onsite in our manufacturing facility each day. Ability to travel to customer and supplier location(s) as needed.
- US person as defined by ITAR/EAR.

- Basic knowledge of heat-treating processes.
- Basic knowledge of surface treating processes; powder coating.
- Basic knowledge of ASTM industry standards.
- Understanding of Six-Sigma terminology and methods.
- Familiar with Polyworks software.
- Knowledge of automotive standard IATF 16949 and ISO 17025 (second party auditor preferred)
- Strong 8D discipline and problem-solving methodology
- Basic knowledge of heat-treating processes.
