In this role you will utilize Quality Engineering tools and practices for the effective and efficient development, transfer and maintenance of products/processes throughout the product lifecycle. Utilizing Quality Engineering principles and problem-solving skills to improve and maintain products/processes that are aligned with the overall Quality and Business vision as well as appropriate risk management to prevent unanticipated failure modes and improve capability of processes!

The Quality Engineer conducts assignments encompassing complete projects or portions of major projects. By determining methods and techniques to be used, or adapt standard methods to assess product variations you will coordinate phases of work internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support CR implementation of process changes (Risk, FMEA, QA assessments, and test plan review / approval)
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and other groups to plan and execute validations on current and new processes for subsequent operational integration. Develop and approve test protocols / reports / risk analysis.
  • Identify any Quality Engineering non-conformance, subsequent corrective, and preventive actions, by documenting, investigating, and conducting root cause analysis; and successfully implement corrective actions.
  • Communicates and escalates in a timely manner, any Quality Engineering issues, or concerns to the next management level.


Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or University equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) related field.
Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a regulated environment required, Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of FDA and ISO quality system regulations and standards.
  • Knowledge of non-conformances, root cause investigations, corrective and preventative actions.
Preferred:

  • Knowledge and understanding of process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ).
  • Knowledge of basic statistics concepts.
  • Proficient technical writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to perform "hands on" troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Ability to think on the feet and provide sound judgment.
  • Proven ability to handle conflicting priorities and meet project work and timeframes.
  • Quality Engineer Certification (CQE).
Other:

  • This position will be located in Jacksonville, FL and may require up to 10% domestic or international travel.
