Volt is immediately hiring a Quality Engineer, in Malabar, FL

As a Quality Engineer, you will:
  • Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of company products in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviewing for quality of top-level assembly before it is shipped to customers.
  • Performs analysis on reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical systems, and field data.
  • Investigates the cause for discrepancies and nonconformities to develop disposition and recommend corrective action plans.
  • Leads material review board, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and ZDP (Zero Defect Plans) activities.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Serve as the primary interface to customers and suppliers for quality-related matters.

Must-Have:
  • 5-10 years of Quality Engineering experience.
  • Knowledgeable/Dispositioning electrical/PWB/SMT hardware-related defects against IPC standards/criteria.
  • Knowledgeable of J-Standards.
  • Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and ZDP (Zero Defect Plans) activities.
Schedule:

1st Shift & 2nd shift

Duration: 12 Months (possible extn.)

Location: Malabar, FL

Pay Rate: $50.00-57.00/ per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
