Job Title: Quality Engineer

Reports to: Director of Quality

Job Summary:

Perform a variety of tasks involving the application of efficient Engineering

principles to a multitude of various quality, production and office problems. Work

on special projects as needed to support the department.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Performs standard Quality Engineering functions in an effort to achieve cost

reductions and work simplification in the Quality area.

• Conduct studies to identify and mitigate potential process failure points and

therefore, reducing the associated risk as a result.

• Conducts Process Capability studies to determine the extent to which the process

can meet engineering requirements.

• Conduct Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility studies to quantify the inherent

variation in a measurement system. This would include collecting data, analyzing

data, preparing reports and implementing recommended changes.

• Resolve Quality problems through collaboration with other engineering, technical,

and production personnel using root cause analysis and other problem solving

techniques.

• Participation in brainstorming sessions and other meetings for the improvement of

the Company.

• Playing an active role under the direction of the Quality/Configuration Engineer,

or others, within the Quality Function.

• All other duties as assigned or as required supporting the best interest of the

Company.

Qualifications:

Education/ Experience:

4 year degree (or working toward a 4 year degree) in an accredited Industrial

Engineering or Mechanical Engineering program.

ASQ Certification is

recommended.

Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the Company.
