What do we need:
We are seeking a driven, ambitious engineer who is interested in playing a crucial role across the life cycle of personal care and cosmetic products. We are seeking team members that has an understanding of equipment qualification, process validation, and/or cleaning/sanitizing validation. Our team is looking for someone who can collaborate across multiple functions, problem solve, and advocate for the resolution of issues early. This position will have a significant responsibility across a range of production areas and equipment types, making a tangible impact on our operations.
Your ability to work collaboratively and problem solve will be valued in this role as you work broadly with many internal and external partners. You will use a broad application of validation practices and principles to ensure studies are designed and executed with quality in mind, directly impacting our product quality and customer satisfaction. You will have the opportunity to manage, lead, and/or participate in complex cross-functional efforts to improve product quality or processes.
Your focus will be primarily on supporting equipment qualification, process, and cleaning/sanitizing validation studies. Your invaluable expertise in these areas will drive best practices and appropriate risk taking to ensure studies are efficient and effective. In addition, this role will also support supplier quality, customer complaints and manufacturing quality incidents.
In this role you will collaboratively or independently provide solutions to a wide range of difficult technical issues. You will also have the opportunity to learn or use your past experience to execute a broad range of quality functions, including:
In this role, you're expected to report to our Ada, MI campus on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, our campus-wide collaboration days, and days when a product validation event occurs.

The team works in a fast-paced environment supporting internal and external manufacturing sites to ensure quality product is produced and supplied to our customers. Our team works heavily with cross-functional partners such as engineering, product development, planning, suppliers, and manufacturing to prevent and address product quality issues. Our team also works with our global QA counterparts in our global markets.

- Develop and review validation procedures to guarantee consistent quality in products and address any out-of-spec results through cross-functional collaboration.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and participate in quality improvement initiatives as a QA representative.
- Ensure compliance with specifications and technical requirements for products, materials, and services using quality tools and principles.
- Partner with various departments like manufacturing, process engineering, and product development to manage deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Represent the quality department in new product development projects and oversee equipment qualification and validation.
In this role, you're expected to report to our Ada, MI campus on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, our campus-wide collaboration days, and days when a product validation event occurs.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering or a related Engineering field
- Experience working in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry
- Experience in root cause investigations and the product development process.
- Demonstrated experience in Design for Quality or experience in product or process development is preferred.
- BS degree in Engineering, or a related field.
Skills to be successful in the role:
- Experience in or supporting a GMP manufacturing environment.
- Experience with quality standards and Design for Quality practices.
- Experience with data analysis, statistical techniques, and problem solving.
- Ability to collaborate with manufacturing, product development, global engineering, and operations engineering to effectively and efficiently resolve issues
