Quality Engineering Intern

We are looking for a Quality Engineer Intern who will report to the Quality Manager, and will be tasked with collecting, and creating data. You’ll create professional documentation used to train and hold employees in compliance with the systems. As part of your role, you’ll be significantly contributing to the improvement of our manufacturing process.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
  • Contribute to the Creation of a ISO 9001 QMS / Learn how to document processes and develop systems
  • Develop data that will be used to create future part tolerances
  • Learn and understand the manufacturing steps required to produce world class Aluminum boats
  • Learn Machining and fabrications methods as you collect dimensional data
  • Capability studies:
    • For routered parts in Aluminum, Wood, and plastics.
    • Transom assembly variation
    • Hull Assembly variation
  • Develop process documentation for paint process, paint mixing, paint equipment setup, and rework / repair


YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:
  • Pursuing a Engineering degree
  • Can work in the Google and Microsoft workspaces
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings
  • Experience in hand measurement tools

Preferred:
  • Interest in powersports and/or marine industry
  • Self driven with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
