Quality Engineering Technician, Cell Battery

Tesla is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Manufacturing Quality Team. You will have the opportunity to contribute to both process development and equipment improvement. Responsibilities

• Working on engineering trials and supporting engineering activities including process and equipment validations
• Operate and troubleshot manufacturing processes through SPC or other data analysis
• Ensure process stability and quality of production output at assigned station
• Write and update Manufacturing Instructions and Quality Inspection Instructions
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to sustain and improve on key process merrics
• Assist in running trials on the floor and creating fault injection samples
• Conduct preliminary investigations for the quality escalations and provide feedback to the QE

Requirements

• 3+ yeas of experience in a pilot or production setting
• Able to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics as well as engineering drawings
• Knowledge in CAD and GD&T is preferred
• Knowledge in SQL, DBeaver, Pyrthon, Jupyter Notebook
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Knowledge in basic material fabrications such as 3 axis mills and lathes
• Knowledge in MiniTab and JMP
