Bell Quality Team

Bring your knowledge and experience and help ensure best in class service to our customers. In this position, you'll be an integral part of the Bell Piney Flats Aircraft Services team, working as Quality support to inspect aircraft products and installations. You'll work with aircraft mechanics and other personnel to ensure work is performed and signed off in accordance with all applicable regulations. You will also leverage your technical abilities and mentoring skills to train and assist with the development of other team members.

What you'll be doing as an Inspector

Perform preliminary, hidden damage, inspection continuity final inspection, and return to service of aircraft and most items from the repair station.

Assist as needed with preparing, reviewing, and executing FAA forms (8130-3), FAA major repairs and alterations maintenance releases (337s), logbook entries, and other aircraft records.

Ensure that inspection records, reports, and forms that are required by the Repair Station and FARs are properly executed prior to aircraft return to service.

Leverage your previous experience and specialized expertise to assist in multiple areas.

Provide direction and advice to team members when needed, assisting with questions and recommending actions.

Mentor and develop earlier-skill team members.

What you need to be successful

  • FAA Certificate Airframe Required. Inspection Authorization is preferred.
  • 5 or more years of hands-on maintenance on Bell Commercial models OR 10 years of aviation experience is required.


Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands

Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift

Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools

Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks

Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues

Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed
