What You Will Do
  • The staff must demonstrate the ability to assess patients' status and identify each patient's requirements relative to their age specific needs.
  • The Radiologic technologist/RCIS assists in the acquisition of patient history and entering into Hemodynamic system and/or EMR.
  • Prepping patient and attaching leads, Defibrillator Pads, BP cuff and setting up the sterile field.
  • Assisting the Physician at the table maintaining sterile procedure. Responsible for availability of supplies and equipment keeping in mind fiscal responsibility.
  • Responsible for all duties related to Radiation Safety and Protection.
  • Knowledge, understanding of Cath lab/EP/IR equipment and supplies.
  • Knowledge of required billing of procedures.

Qualifications:
Education
  • Other Accredited Program Radiologic Technology Program or Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Program. (Required)
Work Experience
  • 3+ years Of current Special Procedures, Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Catheterization Lab and/ or EP lab experience. (Required) and
  • Experience in the Scrub position for Interventional and/or Cardiac, Peripheral, IR and/or CRT (EP) procedures. (Required) and
  • Advanced EKG recognition course experience (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Demonstrating proficiency in arrhythmia recognition. (Required proficiency)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. (Required proficiency)
  • Clinical familiarity with patient assessment skills in conjunction with the procedures being performed. (Required proficiency)
  • Knowledge of conscious sedation policy and documentation. (Required proficiency)
  • Team player (Required proficiency)
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Hemodynamic Monitoring. (Required proficiency)
  • Knowledge of proper sterile procedure technique and infection control. (Required proficiency)
  • Knowledge of peripheral/vascular catheters, guide wires, & all supplies specific to this area. (Required proficiency)
  • Use of a variety of equipment, including power injectors & various computers. (Required proficiency)
  • Knowledge of all radiation safety QA. (Required proficiency)
  • And/or Interventional Neurology procedures. (Required proficiency)
  • Knowledge of all radiation safety QA. (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) (Required) or
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) (Required) and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 Year (Required)
  • CCI equivalent (Required) and
  • Licensed in the State of Ohio (Required) and
  • Certification of completion in a cardiovascular review course (Preferred)
