Receptionist (PT)

Happy Trails Pet Spa and Resort offers pet services including dog daycare, dog and cat boarding, and grooming.

We serve Northern Colorado and we are conveniently located between Loveland, Windsor, Greeley and Ft. Collins. We are your one-stop shop for pet care!

As a Front Desk Worker at Happy Trails Pet & Resort you will:

• Receive and place calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling, updating, etc.
• Receive and answer client emails within a timely manner.
• Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
• Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, i.e. immunization records, etc.
• Assist all clients by providing necessary instructions, information, and invoices.
• Utilize resort computer systems to thoroughly document check-in/check-out for pets and any specific instructions or observations associated with the pet.
• Manage the financial needs of the resort by maintaining accurate balances through collection of client transactions, following all cash and credit card handling procedures, and following proper opening and closing procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills and an exceptional level of communication in a professional manner.
• Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets, and other teammates.
• Demonstrate ability to show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.
• Cleaning the lobby area, bathrooms, and surrounding areas as instructed by Pet Resort Manager.
• Other duties as assigned by Pet Resort Manager.

• Available at least 25-29 hours a week. A weekly schedule will likely look like two weekdays 7:15am-6:15pm (10.5 hours with 30 minute unpaid lunch) and a weekend shift 7:45am-4:15pm (8 hours with 30 minute unpaid lunch). Sometimes one weekday and both weekend days depending on business need. Please only apply to this posiiton if you can work these hours!
• Utilizing standard office/business equipment.
• Flexible schedule including weekend and holiday shifts.
• Experience with kennel software is preferred. Prefferbly ezyVet which is what our resort currently uses.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
• Possession of organizational skills.
• Critical thinking - Understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgment and ability to manage stressful situations.
