POSITION TITLE: Receptionist
DEPARTMENT: Administration
REPORTS TO: Administrative Assistant
Position Summary:
The Receptionist is responsible for operation of the telephone and paging system. He/she answers all incoming calls, redirecting them as needed. The Receptionist greets visitors and gives directions to residents, visitors and supports clerical activities.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
1. Handles confidential information with discretion;
2. Compiles reports and types general or technical material;
3. Composes correspondence and answers telephone for Administrator;
4. Maintains liaison with other departments and advises personnel therein regarding administrative matters;
5. Maintains administrative files;
6. Ensures that the residents and families receive the highest quality of services in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights;
7. Assists business office personnel in record keeping as required/directed;
8. Preforms all other duties as requested.
EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIRNMENTS:
1. High school degree or equivalent with college/business school coursework preferred.
2. Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
3. Must be computer literate.
