Responsibilities

  • Oversees nutritional management within the department and exercises daily responsibility for allocation of resources and coordination of activities.
  • Is responsible for nutritional care and support of hospital patients, counseling and instructing patients and outpatients on modified diets.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Job Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in relevant area or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Registration through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly American Dietetic Association) preferred registration eligibility required
  • Licensed by the State of NM

Preferred Job Requirements
  • Master's Degree in relevant area
  • Previous job related experience
