A Charge Registered Nurse (RN) is a nursing professional who is responsible for overseeing the delivery of patient care in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital or clinic. This position typically involves the following duties and responsibilities:
Supervising and directing the work of other registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants.
Ensuring that all patients receive quality care and that the nursing staff is following proper procedures and protocols.
Assessing patients' needs, developing care plans, and coordinating patient care with other healthcare providers.
Administering medications and treatments, monitoring patients' vital signs, and managing medical equipment.
Communicating with physicians, families, and other members of the healthcare team to provide updates on patient status and coordinate care.
Assisting with the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
Maintaining accurate and complete medical records and documentation.
Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advances in nursing care.
Overseeing the allocation of staff and resources, and making decisions related to patient care and staffing.
The ideal candidate for this role should have a current RN license, with several years of experience as a registered nurse in a healthcare setting. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are also important qualities for this role.
This is a not full time but contracted travel position.
