SUMMARY
The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care of patients in the Emergency Department. The RN reports assessment findings to the physician and initiates emergency treatment when warranted; is accountable for all nursing care they give during a shift; is responsible for managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment in the Emergency Department; and promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing- diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree program. Current registration in Pennsylvania as a licensed, professional nurse.
2. Previous medical experience preferred. Satisfactory completion of the introductory period required.
3. BLS certification required. ACLS and PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire. Successful attainment of TNCC and ENPC certification is required at time of hire or within 24 months of hire.
4. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance and a FBI criminal history check required.
