Float Pool Overview

Floats pool nurses work on different units throughout MedStar Harbor Hospital as needed. We offer an additional $10.00/hr float pool bonus and our lucrative MedStar Health benefit package. This is an excellent opportunity for those who love a variety of nursing units and need benefits, but still can receive the additional float pool hourly premium!

Schedule

Three 12-hour night shifts and every 3rd weekend (36 hours per week, 7p-7:30a)

Education

• Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing required; bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing preferred. Bachelor's degree in nursing enrollment required within 6 months of start date and completion within 3 years

Experience

• 2 years RN experience required. Two years of acute care RN experience and multiple units strongly preferred (Med Surg-Tele and at least another unit such as ICU and ED)

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state or jurisdiction of the facility seeking employment Upon Hire required and
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation by completion of introductory period required. ACLS strongly preferred
