Responsibilities*
Provide nursing care in the specialty of FLOAT NURSING across Cardiovascular Medicine Special Programs within the Ambulatory Care locations.
Provide safe, effective, and specialized nursing care through a variety of Ambulatory Care Cardiology clinical settings and programs.
Participation in cardiac testing with monitoring of patient response using excellent telemetry skills and ability to respond to emergent situations.
Providing detailed patient and family education related to cardiac anatomy and physiology, disease prevention, treatments, medications, and health maintenance.
Involvement in telephone management of patient and family calls including detailed assessment and triage of emergent/urgent situations as needed.
Includes functional supervision of assistive personnel and other responsibilities as requested.

- Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
- Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour
- Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour
- Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $5.90 / hour
- Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
- Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Required Qualifications*
- Current license to practice nursing in Michigan is required.
- 3 years experience as a RN with Adult Cardiovascular patients within the last 5 years.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain ACLS Certification within two months of hire.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- RN experience with telephone triage within the last 2 years.
- RN Experience in an Ambulatory Cardiology Clinic.
- RN experience as a Float within the last 2 years.
- Experience as an RN with MiChart and/or EPIC.
- 3 years? or greater of RN experience caring for patients in the Adult Cardiovascular Medicine Service line.
- Experience as a RN using clinical protocols to make decisions for adult patients.
- Experience as a RN with Echo Lab testing including stress testing and IV contrast agents.
- Previous participation in research and/or professional cardiology organization memberships.
